SOME CLUE ABOUT GALILEO...

 

Hello students!!!
You are studying at a high school called Galileo but... do you really know who Galileo galilei was? You know he was the scientist who defended the theory of heliocentrism against geocentrism. However, he was not only an astronomer...he was a physicist, mathematician, engineer, and a philosopher as well.

Here is an activity that will guide you into his interesting life. 

We are going to work in teams and each member will play a role. Remember you have to fill in the role worksheet every day before the lesson ends, as we did during the energy sources project.

When the project ends will be a quiz and a padlet about Galileo´s life.

So...

1. Find information about Galileo´s life (try to answer these questions...place of birth, death, where did he live? how big was his family?, did he have children?, did everybody agree with his theory? Was he catholic?). Wikipedia is a good source to start...

2. Find information about his inventions.
